The Power of Neurofeedback: Meeting Your Children's Need

The power struggle that occurs when your child doesn't get the help they need leaves all parties feel like they're failing. If your child is struggling and you feel like you've exhausted your resources or haven't yet found the right support that works and are looking to expand to new modalities, Neurofeedback training may be the support you and your child need. Mom on a mission Dianne Kosto joins Dr. Laura Anderson for a conversation on what Neurofeedback training looks like and how it can help regulate your child's brain and make life easier.

It's important to understand that the brain and environment are interconnected and constantly influence each other. Finding a doctor who understands this relationship and can provide personalized feedback is crucial. It's important to keep things simple and remember that Neurofeedback is not a quick fix or magic pill. Regulating the brain takes time and effort, typically requiring 40 sessions on average, each lasting 30-45 minutes. Fortunately, there are now home systems available that can be used to make the process more convenient. Depending on one's individual goals and objectives, it may be possible to complete the 40 sessions and achieve the desired results. In fact, there is often permanent change after just 20 sessions!
